Native of Skopje, Macedonia Marjan Denkov, 30, is a young French visual artist based in Paris. A Graduate of the Academy of Fine Art in Paris (École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Paris), Marjan Denkov's work can already be seen in Contemporary Art Museums, Biennials, art centers and art fairs all over the world. From Thessaloniki to Texas, passing through Beijing, Bucharest, Barcelona, Brussels, New York, Skopje, Valencia, Warsaw, Berlin, Grenoble and Paris, Denkov exposes our interiors and pronounces our dreams. His work was part of various exhibitions including the Museum of MAC/VAL Paris, CAB Grenoble, NO BORDERS- Brussels European Exhibition of Young Artists, the Second Biennial of Young Artists of Bucharest, Romania, The Loop Film Festival in Barcelona, Museum of Contemporary Art of Skopje, Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdovski Castle, Warsaw, Poland. In addition to the above, Denkov was invited by the Chinese government to represent Macedonia on The 4th Beijing International Art Biennale in 2010. Each of his art shows was followed by publications, catalogues and critics. Denkov’s work was partly supported by the Minister of Culture of Republic of Macedonia, the Swiss Cultural Foundation PRO HELVETIA, the City of Paris, and INSIDE BLUE.
