The original starting point for this table: with 2 successive transformations, to pass from a square table (99.5 x 99.5) to seat 4 persons, to a rectangular table (99.5 x 149) to seat 6 and finally, if necessary, to a new square table (149 x 149) to seat 8. At each stage it is simply necessary to pull on one side to disengage and unfold one of the folding extensions concealed beneath the top. The robust simplicity of the square legs set at each corner contrasts with the slimness of the top and extensions. The laminated top of this table presents highly advanced surface characteristics: aesthetic, with its very matt finish, sensual, thanks to its silky touch, and extremely resistant to wear. Base in lacquered aluminium, top and extensions in a composite of aluminium/polyurethane foam sandwiched between matt soft touch Fenix NTM laminate (a trademark of the Italian manufacturer Arpa). This high-tech laminate is extremely resistant to wear and insensitive to finger marks. This ‘intelligent’ material can even thermally self-heal itself of micro-scratches.
