In the words of the designer: Thinking about working with wicker, I watched a harvest and then the storing of it, hanging it in packs in an old wooden barn. The place in the Sierra was beautiful, the Italian immigrant working hard, his hands callus. The wicker sofa was already there... I just tied the bundles, stacked them and made them into an installation. On the natural wicker bundles, a cotton futon finishes the piece off. The result is practically a landscape, on the border between design and artistic expression.
