Designed by Greta Grossman, the Gubi lighting Cobra Floor Lamp offers a more organic form of European Modernism with clear functionality and zoomorphic inspiration. The table version of the Cobra Floor Lamp won the Good Design Award in 1950 and was exhibited in the New York MoMA, defining a new era of mid-century modern which Grossman refined out of her California studio. The hooded shade is fully rotatable and is attached to a serpentine neck for optimal task lighting—adhering to the requirements of modern design to be functional and attractive in form.
