Attempting to make a skateboard as a child, Norwegian Hallgeir Homstvedt bent and shaped a piece of plywood—and an obsession was born. His Pal stool draws on that childhood epiphany. Its thin, curved wooden legs screw into the outside of the round seat through an X-shaped joint, making for strength and meaning assembly is child’s play (no tools are required). Its lightweight frame makes this thoroughly satisfying piece easily transportable from room to room.
